Congress--Each Congresscritter should produce a research packet for assigned bills. The research packet for each bill should
____ start life as a Word document
____ include a cut and pasted copy of three articles analyzing the issue of the bill, with each cut and pasted copy
____ adjusted for margins
____ including highlighted by bold/underline KEY quotes (cards)
____ having a URL at the END of each article
____ have a short summary paragraph at the END of each article, with the summary paragraph in italics
____ uploaded what you've done by the end of the block to GoogleDocs and shared it with me and Kurt; the rest is to be finished for homework and uploaded/shared right at the beginning of C-block tomorrow.
Public Forum--
Kevin, Matt, Carina, Nabila--begin work on your October cases for Dighton Rehoboth. By the end of the block, you should
____ have located three articles relevant to the topic
____ cut and pasted the articles into a Word document
____ included the URL at the END of each article
____ found at least 3 cards from one article which support either side; the cards should be bolded and underlined in the Word Document
____ uploaded the document to GoogleDocs and shared it with me
For homework, please
____ find at least three cards from each of the other two articles
____ write a paragraph summarizing the articles in italics at the end of each article
____ update the Google Doc accordingly, so that it can be checked at the beginning of class tomorrow.
The goal this week is to have cases finished so that next week you can debate each day.
Brittany, Will, and Matt--do the foregoing, but for the NOVEMBER topic, using some of the ideas from the assignment from last week.
Olivia--Please make sure that I have cuttings for your current pieces by the end of the Block on Wednesday. You should have at least two pieces ready (three if we separate OI into Poetry and prose). The script of your cutting should be typed at at GoogleDocs, shared with me.
