C and E Blocks--Friday, 15 October

Up to five people from each block may go to the Library.

Next week, each PF team going to DR will get 4 rounds--two on each side.  Congress will run at least 3 practice sessions.  Speechies will get 3-4 practice performances.  Once we start on Tuesday, you must be ready to go when you are called upon.  Consider this a test grade.  Even if you are NOT going to DR, you are expected to prepare as if you are.

Speechies should get in groups of 3 and perform pieces to each other, either in the classroom or hallway.  Make constructive comments.

PF debaters going to Dighton Rehoboth should make sure that cases are ready by Monday.  If cases are done already, then each debater should write BLOCKS to each argument they're making for 'their side'.  "Blocks" are prewritten rebuttal arguments.  Cases and Blocks should be shared with me on Google Docs by Sunday night, if they aren't already.

PF Debaters NOT going to DR will be expected to judge rounds next week, and will also have to have November cases ready by Friday.

Congress people should begin researching the bills for the Dighton Rehoboth Congress.  The bills are at http://massforensics.org/.  Each person should select two bills to focus on.  During C Block on Friday, and over the weekend, come up with a research packet similar to the ones for Bronx earlier this week, for each bill.  We will be doing several practice Congresses next week--select one bill to be YOUR bill and prep an authorship speech also.

YOU MUST BE READY TO GO ON TUESDAY.  REMEMBER, THIS IS A TEST GRADE.  YOU DO NOT KNOW WHO WILL BE DEBATING/PERFORMING FOR ME ON TUESDAY.

C BLOCK WILL MEET IN THE DINING HALL.  E BLOCK WILL MEET IN B 215.
